 Enam Akoetey - Founder and CEO                                                   

 

Enam Akoetey is an MSc graduate of Development Studies at the London Southbank University and BSc Business Administration, Marketing from the Central University College, Ghana and currently studying part-time for an MBA from the University of Liverpool. She has a foundation certificate in Prince2 – Project Management and is taking an e-learning Advanced Certificate course in GHG Verification and Advanced GHG Accounting with the GHG Management Institute based in Maryland USA.

Both her Masters and Bachelor degree thesis was on addressing peculiar environmental challenges with Bamboo.

 

Enam brings 9 years of employment experience gained in Ghana and UK.  In her last role as Administrator of the East and Horn of Africa region, she monitored a programme budget of £4 million as well as a £2 million emergency humanitarian relief budget with UK charity Christian Aid.

 

Enam represents reNew as a member of the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change.

MA - International Development and 30 years in development practice. Lived and worked in Africa for 15 years.

 

Mr Joseph Gyekye-Eck – Manager - Merchant Bank – Ghana

MBA - Schiller International University and 20 years in managerial position in Banking industry.

 

Kwabena Adu-Gyamfi – MD - Afrique Link – Ghana

MBA - Henley Management College, Chartered Accountant and 25 years in managerial position in Airline industry.

reNew will work in collaboration with institutions and organisations to harness and draw on technical and project management expertise through project cycles.

 

Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG)

ECG is the largest electricity distributor in Ghana. Their operations cover six regions with the largest population in Ghana - Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Eastern, Central and Volta. Engineers  from the systems design and projects team will input on measurement and monitoring of  energy savings and emission reductions of project activity.

 

Energy Foundation

EF is a non-profit, public-private partnership institution. They are devoted to the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable enegy solutions in Ghana.

 

Forestry Commission (Forest Services Department – Somanya and Mampong District Office)

FC is resonsible for the regulation of and utilisation of forest and wildlife resources. Forest Services Department is the lessor of 5000 hectares of degraded forest reserve for reNew reforestation activity.

 

CIFOR - TROfCCA (Tropical Forests and Climate Change Adaptation)

TROfCCA is a project of CIFOR (Centre for International Forest Research) to contribute to the limited understanding of adaptation and tropical forest systems. TROfCCA will input on adaptation strategies to be mainstreamed in our reforestation activity.

 

Embrapa Florestas

Embrapa Florestas is the Brazilian forestry research institute based in Parana State. Embrapa Florestas researchers and scientists will input on technical processes in sivilculture and nursery establishment.

 

FORIG – Plantation Development Unit

FORIG is the Ghanaian forestry research institute based in the Ashanti Region. FORIG researchers and scientist will input and engage on technical processes in plantation development.
